VoicePrint Salutes National Volunteer Week: Meet Our Volunteers |
At VoicePrint more than 800 volunteers regularly come to one of our 13 studios located across Canada to read and record audio versions of current newspaper and magazine articles for the 5 million Canadians who are blind or otherwise print-restricted.
Simply put, our non-profit "essential information lifeline" could not exist without the talent and commitment of our volunteer readers, who are both the "voice" and the "heart" of our pioneering, award-winning broadcast service.
As part of our celebration of National Volunteer Week, VoicePrint is recognizing the continuing dedication of our volunteers with a series of on-air and online promotional spots called "60 Seconds With A VoicePrint Volunteer," in which our readers introduce themselves and share with our listeners their personal reasons for donating their valuable time to VoicePrint.
Find out more about this exciting broadcast tribute and VoicePrint's other salutes to the great spirit of volunteerism in Canada.
