Volunteer Profile: Jenna M. Young
Jenna remembers auditioning with VoicePrint producer Bill Shackleton in May, 2005. When she finished the audition, Bill remarked that he was really impressed with the reading, saying that she obviously wasn’t a rookie. “I didn’t have much experience behind the microphone, although I practiced a lot at home,” Jenna says. “It was encouraging to hear this from him.”
She also adds: “I think VoicePrint Volunteers pace themselves very well when reading some of those lengthy newspaper and magazine articles. The readers have excellent precision and timing when broadcasting print stories, not to mention expansive vocabularies!”
Jenna reads for VoicePrint on Thursday evenings at 6 p.m.
