SPECIAL PROGRAMMING
Monday, March 16th - Friday, March 20th, 2009.
In recognition of National Nutrition Month (March, 2009) and VoicePrint’s mission to serve the more than 5 million Canadians who are vision and print-restricted, VoicePrint is celebrating with a series of special programming focusing on nutrition and eye health. As well, we’re proud to present three editions of the popular program Cooking in the Dark.
“We’re very proud of this special,” says Renae Barlow, Provincial Coordinator of Alberta, “and we feel our listeners will appreciate us bringing attention to the link between nutrition and vision loss; especially to those individuals who have diabetes, or are just getting older! “
"Our programming for National Nutrition Month is fascinating as VoicePrint discusses supermarket shopping and cooking tips with an interviewee who lost his sight and the use of his legs 15 years ago," says Joe Lamanna, National Program Manager. "And we take our listeners to a dimly lit Montreal restaurant where the waiters are legally blind".
