Don’t miss our mini-Canadian movie marathon on Monday, July 2 as part of our special Canada Day-weekend programming. The following homegrown movies begin at 8:00 p.m. Eastern:
- GOIN’ DOWN THE ROAD
- 90 DAYS
- LOVE THAT BOY
But that’s not all. Beginning at 7:00 a.m. Eastern, VoicePrint will broadcast a fascinating collection of newspaper and magazine articles from Victoria to Halifax that focus on such topics as: Canadians who make us proud; multicultural integration; and food and wine of the Lower Fraser Valley. For example, at 9:30 a.m. Eastern, VoicePrint’s bureau at St. Catharine’s, Ontario, will bring you full-text readings of articles on Canada Day and Canada’s early history. VoicePrint's holiday-Monday schedule begins at 7:00 a.m. Eastern. In addition, tune in for a special Canada Day edition of Contact and our newest program, Cuisine Scene. The first two episodes air on Canada Day at 11:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Eastern.
Episode 1: 11:30 a.m. – The inaugural episode focuses on Canadian coffee shops and two of the countries top-10 restaurants
Episode 2: 5:30 p.m. -- It’s a national tradition for gathering and socializing…it’s the BARBEQUE.
Cuisine Scene features restaurant reviews, great marketplaces, recipes and new food ideas.
Host Linda Seyler says, “Whether you’re a self-confirmed foodie, a budding gourmet, or are just looking for some new restaurants to try, Cuisine Scene offers something for everyone.” With Canada becoming more and more diversified, Cuisine Scene looks at ethnic shops and rural restaurants with an emphasis on everything western, from dishes to delicacies.
